Cut Aku into 1 1/2 inch cubes. Combine water, vinegar, garlic, salt, paprika and bay leaves. Add Aku and marinate 1 1/2 hrs. Drain, reserve marinade.
Cut onions and peppers into 1 1/2 inch pieces; blanch. Arrange Aku, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and peppers on 12 skewers.
Place kaboabs on rack of broiler pan. Brush with marinade and broil 5 inches from unit in electric oven for 5 minutes. Turn kabobs; brush with remaining marinade. Broil 5 more minutes or until fish flakes easily.
