2 cans of stewed tomatoes - crushed or cut up in a bowl
salt & pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. dried or fresh oregano
1/4 tsp. dried or fresh basil
1 bay leave
1/4 tsp. dried or fresh parsley
dash of sugar
1/4 cup red wine (any kind)
1/4 tsp. red crush pepper
water to boil spaguetti
2 tbsp. olive oil
White mushrooms (optional)
Parmessan cheese
Instructions
Place the olive oil in a medium pot at low heat. Meanwhile, in a food processor, place the onion, garlic, pepper to chopp, or chopp by hand. Add to the olive oil. Stir until it's cooked (about 5 min. medium heat). Add the ground beef and cook until you don't see any red pieces. Once it's cooked, add the two cans of stewed tomatoes, previously cut up or crushed. Lower the heat, to a very low boil.
Add the rest of the ingredients; salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, basil, sugar, red pepper, red wine. If you want at this time you can add fresh white botton mushrooms, sliced. Stir and let it simmer so all the ingredients combine.
In a large pot, boil water for the spaguetties. Add salt to the water and cook spaguetties or any pasta al dente or follow the instructions on the box. Reserve a little of the spaguetti water just in case the sauce gets too thick. Drain spaguetti and in the same pot put 1/2 of sauce, then sprinkle with parmesan cheese, then add the spaguetti and then the rest of the sauce, top with parmesan cheese.
