Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, vanilla, milk and 1/2 c. butter and beat until smooth. Spoon into 2 quart casserole dish.
In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, 1/3 c. butter and pecans, mix. Sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Watch pecan top layer which should become toasted.
