Press one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the prepared pan. In medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, 1 c. sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Spread over the crescent layer. Unroll second can of crescent. rolls and lay on top of the cream cheese layer. Do not press down. Pour melted butter over the entire pan. Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the top.
