Chop pumpkin into small cubes, place in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil, boiling pumpkin until they are fork-tender.
Drain and cool the pumpkin completely.
In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in brown sugar and coconut milk and cook over medium heat until combined into a sauce.
Pour pumpkin cubes over sauce and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, or until pumpkin are heated through and bubbly.
