Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time.
Shift flour and baking soda together.
Add alternating with milk.
Add flour and nuts.
Bake at 350.
Frosting Directions
In a skillet put butter, half and half, salt and
brown sugar- Bring to boil.
Remove from heat to mixing bowl.
Beat adding confectionery sugar and vanilla
gradually.
If too stiff to spread, add warm milk.
