1-1/2 packages corn tortillas cut up into 1 inch pieces
2 - 12 ounce cans boned chicken
3 cans cream of chicken soup
1 large onion, chopped
1 – 4 ounce can green chilies, chopped
1 pound American cheese, grated
2 cartons sour cream
Grated Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
Mix all (but the cheddar cheese) and pour into 9 X 13 pan. Sprinkle some grated cheddar cheese over top (not in the original recipe, but wasn’t it good?!), bake at 350 until bubbly (about 45 minutes).
The original recipe only called for 2 cans soup, but it looked a little dry so I added 1 more. This is a very forgiving recipe. Less cheese, more sour cream, Rotel instead of green chilies…use what you got!
