Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 1 1/2 qt baking dish, spread the
apples into it, and sprinkle 1/3 c water on top.
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and rub in the
butter with fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread evenly
over apples. Bake 30-60 minutes or until crust is browned. Serve
with heavy cream.
