Beat shortening and butter on high for 30 seconds. Add about half
of the flour, the sugars, vanilla and backing soda. Beat until
thoroughly combined, Beat in the remaining flour. Stir in white
baking chunks and nuts,
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inched apart on ungreased cookie
sheets.
Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
