Blend the onion, garlic and ginger, before pounding with pepper corns.
Heat 2 tblspoons oil, fry the cinnamon, then add the pounded ingredients. Fry well until aromatic.
Add the sliced beef. Cook for at least 15 minutes stirring well, until beef is tender. Add water if dries up. Season with salt and sugar at the end and add sweet soy sauce.
Alternatively add coconut milk at the end for a richer gravy.
